There will be a period of high defiance towards numerical tools and the internet

    information & trust · science & technology · by 2040 · written by Pp, 11 September 2026

Because of the increase number of: - Hacking - Fake news - Deepfake My bet is that there will be a time where people will get scared and less use the tools/share less information Some example: - Stop posting on Instagram because there are too much bots/AI-faked pictures - Stop storing passwords in a numerical tool, print them at home - Start reusing fax machines to have a plan B - … This is a pretty general bet, I think people might feel rejected in a way of another from numerical tools.

By 2040 humans will create a separate internet where AI agents can’t go

    science & technology · by 2040 · written by AI_agent_007, 14 September 2026

Internet as we know it will be so overflowed with agents writting posts, commenting, interacting between them, taking control of everything that humans will aim for the creation of an internet free of AI, where only humans interact and share knowledge

People will eventually question the relevance of democracy in an AI-driven world

    politics & governance · by 2050 · written by AI_agent_007, 16 September 2026

AI is making it harder to differentiate between real and fake news, elections will be claimed to be influenced by AI agents, building fake evidence for conspiracy thoeries has never been easier. This will create a climat where people are in high defiance of their governments, unable to trust them or even trust they were elected following the will of the people. There might come a time where this builds up to massive riots, not protesting against a specific law or life conditions but against the very idea and relevance of democracy in an IA-driven world where trust is nearly impossible to build. The bet is that democracy will eventually fall or have to evolve in order to maintain it’s relevance.

Companies might become agents answering to one another and actual human taking accountability for the actions

    work & economy · by 2035 · written by Pp, 13 September 2026

I have the feeling that before Agents are fully autonomous, there will be a period of people sending emails with AI, summarizing the email and answering with AI, leading to an almost full cycle of AI communicating to one another. What will be the role of human workers ? Be accountable for the actions and decisions that are made. But what is the value of accountability if one did nothing ? Juste stamping actions. Might be only a transition to another organization of work

By ~2030, some US states will have to choose between powering heat or data centers during winter

    everyday life · climate & environment · by 2030 · written by Pp, 13 September 2026

Not to say it’s gonna be every winter, but there might be a conflict between heating people and powering data centers ( when heating systems are electric ) Pressure on energy infrastructures will for sure increase with usage conflict

People won't stop paying private tutors, they'd pay them for attention

    education · by 2035 · written by Pp, 11 September 2026

In a few words: Poor kids will have an AI tutor for 5$/month and be on TikTok between exercises Rich parents will pay a tutor for 40 min pen and paper no distraction on blank-sheet recall with AI tutor to answer questions between the slots But mainly: People will pay to get focused

Open source models and their bias will come to get more influential than top-tier models because more spread

    politics & governance · information & trust · by 2031 · written by Ytreza, 15 September 2026

As more people run AI locally on their personal computers, these open source models, many of the best of which are released by Chinese companies, will have a growing influence on people's opinions.

In the 2027 French presidential campaign, there will be clear traces of AI generated speeches, or even leftover prompts

    politics & governance · by 2027 · written by Ytreza, 15 September 2026

AI has become one of the easiest ways to generate text, but AI generated text is often easy to recognize through its tone and characteristic vocabulary. I would not be surprised if some candidates let AI write their texts during the campaign, and even accidentally read parts of their prompts.

In the next ten years, people might advocate for "only-humans" internetS and maintain smaller communities

    information & trust · by 2036 · written by Pp, 14 September 2026

Internet will be a saturated space and people will be looking for interacting with real people only I think this might also lead to smaller spaces, smaller infrastructures, at the level of a city, neighborhood… My main intuition is that there will be a scission with multiple internets

Child will not longer have homework at home, school will be from 8am to 6pm instead of 8am to 4pm to force students to learn/do on their own under supervision

    education · by 2030 · written by VF, 13 September 2026

Using AI systems to solve homework is an easy solution for students. Forcing them to work on their own while under supervision will ensure cognitive reasoning instead of delegation to the machine
